Escape to Australia's dramatic South Coast

The Grand Pacific drive is a spectacular 140 km journey from Sydney through the Sydney Royal National Park along dramatic rugged coastline to the beautiful pastures and farms of the South Coast.
The Sydney Royal National Park has dainty tree fern gullies, cliff top views at Bald Hill where you can stop and stroll along the trail to take in the sweeping panorama.Or you could take off with Warren Windsports and enjoy a spot of skydiving (but your partner will have to take the car down to the beach to collect you).
The Grand Pacific Drive then winds its way down the cliffs to hug the shore line passing small villages like Coalcliff and Stanwell Park. You now press on into Wollongong where sitting in the harbourside restaurant you can and enjoy a lunch of freshly caught fish. Afterwards visit the Nan Tien Temple for peace in the Southern Hemisphere's largest Buddhist temple.
Now recharged yet relaxed you can either take the Grand Pacific Drive south to Kiama and down the South Coast. But there is an alternative magical drive westwards to Jambaroo and up through the escarpments to Knights Hill where you can enjoy the Illawarra Fly tree top adventure walk. From here you can visit the famous Robertson Cheese Factory to sample some of the local delights.
Taking this route may be a little longer but you are sure to capture the a sense of nature, space and unhurried country life. Drive to Fiztroy Falls and see the triple waterfall before descending on down into stunning Kangaroo Valley.
Grand Pacific Drive creates an impressive entry to this varied and beautiful region just 2-3 hours south of Sydney.
