The Hampden Bridge Experience

See video
Video Summary:
Hampden Bridge is Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge and a beautiful place to visit while you are staying in Kangaroo Valley. We have a fun kid’s competition that involves taking a stroll from the village to the bridge. You can take a self-guided tour at the bridge that explains its history and how it works. Take your smart phone and watch the film or hear the song about the bridge, activated by the QR Code. Then you can pop over the road to the Pioneer Museum Park and see lovely historic buildings and artifacts, there is even a BBQ area. On the other side of the bridge is a walk down to the river where you can enjoy a picnic or launch your canoe (the canoe hire company is also located by the bridge). Watch this film about Hampden Bridge, its history and how it was restored for $4.8 million in 2012.
