Crystal Creek Meadows has been nominated for the World Responsible Tourism Awards! We are keen to reach the finals because Sophie and I want to be able to show how responsible tourism can help generate prosperity for communities, help conserve heritage and tread more lightly on the planet. And by doing this we help to create great experiences for our guests too!
Kangaroo Valley received a Highly Commended Award at the 2010 Responsible Tourism Awards because of the high level of community cooperation (see picture of our local celebration dinner, there were many different community groups and government representatives).
We believe that hosted accommodation can do really great things for our rural communities. Read my speech delivered to the South Councils below. Wish us luck on our Facebook page.
