The hidden gem of Arthur Boyds works and more
Bundanon is a national treasure, it is the estate and art collections left by Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. Bundanon offers the visitor a unique collection of cultural and environmental assets. Included in his gift to the nation was a collection comprising several thousand art works, photographs, furnishings and documents referred to as the Bundanon Collection. It was the culmination of a considerable effort over several years that included holding works back from sale, buying works - in particular works by Merric, Emma Minni and Arthur Merric Boyd.
Sidney Nolan had added to the Collection with a number of early works, and a series made in the Bundanon studio in 1981, prior to his death in 1992. Set by the Shoalhaven River it makes for a quite beautiful visit so go by the Cambewarra Estate and select a wine and picnic to Bundanon to enjoy a full day there.
