Berkelouw Book Barn Berrima - Australia's largest and longest established sellers of rare, antiquarian, out-of-print and secondhand books. Berkelouw is based on the 'Bendooley' property, just outside Berrima in the Southern Highlands of NSWBerkelouw's Book Barn & Café has over 200,000 secondhand books, prints and rare specialty and early out-of-print titles. The antiquarian book department carries over 40,000 rare volumes including a first edition of Governor Arthur Phillip's Voyage to Botany Bay, original 18th century maps, a collection of mid 19th century historical photographs and Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel "Casino Royale".
You can browse the volumes, curl up in a chair by the fire and read while enjoying coffee and homemade cakes. Berkelouw's is a converted barn and hayloft so you can look out onto paddocks with cows, trees and distant views.
When you're ready for some time out from browsing, the café is always ready to provide coffee and lunch.
The Bookbarn, and the Berkelouw Books Head Office, is located on the "Bendooley" property near historic Berrima in the Southern Highlands. Berkelouw Books also has numerous retail stores and outlets in NSW as well as stores in Melbourne and on the Queensland Sunshine Coast.
