Greenfield beach in Jervis Bay

7 Mile Beach and the protected national park offer an outstanding example of natural coast line with the wide sweep of unspoiled gold sand and bush. Perfect for winter walks, summer sea fun and all year picnics. 7 Mile Beach is a 30 minute drive from Kangaroo Valley.

Booderee National Park offers beaches like Greenfields Beach (pictured) and Jervis Bay boasts the whitest sands in the world (at Hyams Beach) but don't let that deceive you - there is much more to this huge natural bay than just sand. Rich in Aboriginal heritage it also holds important wetlands - including Lake Wollumboola - that preserve a flourishing diversity of plants and animals. It's great for bird watching, bush walking and swimming.

For a genuine river swim try Kangaroo River at Hampden Bridge, children love the adventure. If you want a private escape, you can swim in several secluded spots in Kangaroo Valley.
The Kangaroo Valley swimming pool is open in the summer. The 25 metre pool offers a magnificent view over the valley and is a great place to cool down on a hot summer day. A shallow toddlers' pool is also provided.
