Canoe down the Kangaroo River or Lake Yurrunga

canoe-river-kayak

One of the great adventure attractions of Kangaroo Valley is the ability for visitors to travel down the Kangaroo River on a kayak or canoe. See unspoilt nature, water dragons (lizards) and maybe ocean eagles overhead. Kayak and canoe paddling is a great outdoor activity to share as a family or as a groups of friends.

There is canoeing and then there is adventure. Take a canoe from just 3km from your Kangaroo Valley cottage accommodation. Paddle downstream towards the Dam and pass through wilderness and see Australian wildlife.

You can go canoeing for a day and the hire company will bring you back or just hire the canoes and paddle with the kids for a while in the safety of the Hampden Bridge stretch of the Kangaroo River.

Wear old shoes if you have them. Deliverance was never like this!

Summary of your Kangaroo River adventure options:

  • canoe down the river 2-3 hours
  • journey along Lake Yurrunga 1/2 day or full day

Contact Kangaroo Valley Safaris for more details or include canoeing as part of the Eco Adventure Accommodation Package when you make a reservation.
