Arthur Boyd's Bundanon

Bundanon is a national treasure, it is the estate and art collections left by Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. Bundanon offers the visitor a unique collection of cultural and environmental assets. Included in his gift to the nation was a collection comprising several thousand art works, photographs, furnishings and documents referred to as the Bundanon Collection. It was the culmination of a considerable effort over several years that included holding works back from sale, buying works - in particular works by Merric, Emma Minni and Arthur Merric Boyd.

Hampden Bridge - South Coast NSW

Community celebrates the restoration of Hampden Bridge

Much more than just a bridge the Hampden Bridge, in Kangaroo Valley, is considered a major engineering feat of the Victorian era and second only in importance in Australia to Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Hampden Bridge is in fact Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge, built in 1898.

There are over 20 points of historic interest along the 3 km Kangaroo Valley Historic Walk. The starting point is at Osborne Park (pictured) with its wonderful views across the valley. The walk explains about the traditional owners, the Wodi Wodi people and then highlights the many heritage buildings and historic locations in the National Trust conservation zone and listed region for its outstanding natural beauty (pictured).
